The quick year guide
V1 (KWN, 2010–2012) — the original PCX. V1 parts.
V2 eSP (2012–2014) — same silhouette, new eSP engine; some panels differ from V1. V2 parts.
V3 (K35, 2014–2017) — first restyle: LED lighting era begins. V3 parts.
V4 (K97, 2018–2020) — new frame and sharper bodywork; nothing interchanges with V3. V4 parts.

Why the code matters
Honda's model codes (KWN, K35, K97, K1Z) are printed in your owner's documents and encoded in the frame number — they're the certain way to identify the bike on changeover years. Registration year alone can mislead you in 2012, 2014, 2017–18, 2020–21 and 2024–25.
