Which Yamaha NMAX 125 do I have? Generation guide (2015–2025)

Ordering NMAX parts starts with one question: which generation is your bike? Fit the wrong generation's panel and it simply won't line up. Here's how to tell in under a minute.

The three NMAX 125 generations

2015–2020 (first generation)

The original NMAX. Twin separate headlights with the indicator units set into the front apron, a flatter seat line, and analogue-style dash elements on early models. If your V5C says first registered between 2015 and 2020, you're almost certainly here. Shop NMAX 125 2015–2020 parts.

2021–2024 (second generation)

A full redesign: sharper twin-eye LED front face, restyled body panels that do not interchange with the earlier bike, LCD dash, and on many models keyless start. First registered 2021–2024? You're here. Shop NMAX 125 2021–2024 parts.

2025 onwards (current generation)

The newest NMAX with updated styling and electronics. If your bike was first registered in 2025 or later, use this range. Shop NMAX 125 2025+ parts.

Still not sure?

Two foolproof checks: your V5C registration document shows the date of first registration, and the frame (VIN) number stamped on the frame identifies the exact model.
